Leeds United ‘reach agreement’ with AC Milan’s Noah Okafor as Premier League preparation ramps up

As Premier League preparation intensifies, Leeds United and Noah Okafor of AC Milan “reach agreement.”

Leeds is reportedly interested in the 25-year-old, who can also play out wide, as they try to strengthen their assault. He had an appearance against the Whites earlier this month, making an impression for AC Milan in a friendly match at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium. Okafor may not be regarded as essential at the San Siro, as evidenced by his loan to Napoli for the second half of the 2024–25 season.

Luca Bianchin of the Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Leeds and the Switzerland international have come to a personal accord. Leeds is reportedly aiming to finalise a permanent deal, and negotiations are reportedly intensifying. However, it is not yet thought that Milan has approved the deal. He stated via X: “Leeds and Noah Okafor have struck a contract deal. The pace of negotiations is increasing. Leeds wants to seal a long-term agreement; Milan hasn’t responded yet but is thinking about it.

Without an agreement between the clubs, a deal cannot move forward, leaving fans anxiously awaiting it. In recent weeks, Leeds has been eager to bolster their attack, but they have encountered obstacles in their attempts to sign forward Rodrigo Muniz and winger Igor Paixão. The latter is still at Fulham and is being strongly linked to Atalanta, while the former joined Marseille from Feyenoord.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin, an England-capped striker, has been signed by Leeds, but Whites manager Daniel Farke has not ruled out adding another attacker. “In addition to young Harry Grey, who will require some time, we have three really good striker options,” he stated. “I wouldn’t rule out another striker signing because you always have to be awake until the last second of the transfer window if there is an opportunity, [and] there are a few doubts due to Dominic’s injury record and also Lukas [Nmecha] has a few issues in the past.”
