Leeds United to make Gustavo Hamer decision as Stance made Clear
As they aim to continue their work in the summer window, Leeds United may try to make a move on a signing they attempted to make a year ago.
As they get ready for life in the Premier League during the summer transfer window, Leeds United may try to sign a player they tried to sign a year ago. According to some LeedsLive commenters, the team could do much worse than try to sign Gustavo Hamer from Sheffield United once more.
According to Soccernews’s rumors from the Netherlands, Hamer wants to rejoin the Premier League, which could lead to a transfer this summer.
Having scored nine goals and provided seven assists for the Blades this season, he was voted the Championship’s Player of the Season prior to the playoffs and is still a strong contender to join Leeds’ team.
Following Sheffield United’s Premier League relegation, Leeds made a bid for Hamer during the most recent summer transfer window. They were unsuccessful in their attempt to get one of the few attack-minded midfielders available at the time. It’s also believed that Everton is considering acquiring Hamer.
Not everyone would vote for the transfer; one reader, Whitesfan, stated: “Hamer could not convince me. In the Championship, he was great at times, but he also received 13 yellow cards and was mostly anonymous throughout games.
Additionally, as they profit from him, he will probably cost a significant amount more than his actual value.
“His main attribute appears to be that he played for a genuinely terrible Sheffield United Premier League team. Because of his caliber at that level, he appeared to be a wise choice last season.
Now that things have changed, Leeds can compete with other teams to acquire players, even though not everyone is interested in a possible relegation battle.
“Hamer is really not the player some like to think he is,” writes commenter Nwm66. If Leeds are to prevent a swift return to the Championship, they must acquire a player better than him.
Says PsychicPsal: “Please don’t, Hamer. We ought to set greater goals. According to Bradfordian100, “I agree not good enough for us, tried and failed for others.” she concurs.
Others would be more than happy to lead Leeds to the Premier League with Hamer.
“Hamer was by far the best player for the Blades there, and he has a year more Prem experience than many of our current players,” says Telly H.
There is no question about that. He was too brilliant for the Champs and is a baller.
“If we surround him with better players than Wilder did, he would be a fantastic midfield addition who knows how to play in the Premier League.”
And that’s the key: we need to move forward, be more proactive and ambitious, and bring in true difference makers. He wouldn’t be the only midfield player we need to acquire.
It was bad to be unable to land one of Diarra or Sadiki.
“We should be all over this, sign him as soon as possible, and Cooper too,” writes Coastalwhite. If you don’t finish it, Leeds, he will go elsewhere.”
Obtain his signature, advises Olivebranch. He wishes to accompany us. We’ll need that little bit of class and Premier League proven.”
Likewise, Pimpollo says, “The quality we need, get him in Daniel.” “Act positive, go in, and seal the deal,” writes Manny45. Please do not allow Sunderland to enter again.

Gus Hamer is an absolute MUST signature for Leeds. Fast and skilful in attack and defence. Gets in to the spenalty area with his strength speed and skill either to provide the ball to a. colleague or score himself. He never stops competing!! Please don’t let him go elsewhere – we will never regret signing him.
