Liverpool have agreed a deal worth around £40 million to sign highly-rated Hungarian left-back Milos Kerkez from Bournemouth, according to a report by the BBC. The 21-year-old is expected to pen a five-year contract at Anfield, bringing an end to his two-season stay at the Vitality Stadium.

 

Kerkez becomes Liverpool’s first major signing under new head coach Arne Slot, who is seeking to put his stamp on a squad that is undergoing a subtle transition following Jürgen Klopp’s departure. The move signals Liverpool’s intent to add youthful energy and tactical flexibility to their defensive line, with Kerkez likely to provide both competition and long-term succession for first-choice left-back Andy Robertson.

Kerkez joined Bournemouth from AZ Alkmaar in 2023 and made an instant impact in the Premier League.
