Luton Power Court: Everything you need to know about Luton Town FC’s new home.
Luton Town Football Club plans to break ground on its 25,000-seat Power Court stadium this summer.
Here’s everything you should know about the project.
Why do we need a new stadium?
The Hatters’ current Kenilworth Road stadium, which has served as their home for 119 years, no longer meets the club’s ambition to compete in – and remain in – the higher divisions of English football. The stadium’s limited capacity of 12,000 football fans is due to its close proximity to Bury Park, making expansion challenging.

What else will be added?
Power Court will be not only the team’s new home, but also a significant investment in Luton’s future. The project is expected to serve as a catalyst for townwide regeneration, with plans for new homes, a hotel, a music venue, and other infrastructure to revitalise the area.
The stadium’s construction and regeneration phase is expected to generate at least 1,000 jobs, with additional jobs created as work on the larger site begins. It will also create more ‘indirect’ jobs, which provide the goods and services that workers will require. More than 1,000 permanent jobs are expected to be created once the project is completed.
