Man charged with murder after Hertfordshire stabbing.

A man has been charged with murder after a stabbing in Hertfordshire.

Kieran Roche, of Station Road in Cuffley, was charged early Saturday morning (April 26). The 30-year-old will appear before Hatfield Remand Court later this morning, following the death of a man in his twenties on Wednesday (April 23). The ambulance service called police at 10.46 a.m. on April 23 to aid a man with stab wounds on Cattlegate Road in Northaw, but he died on the scene. The BCH Major Crime Unit initiated a murder investigation.

Detective Inspector Justine Jenkins of the BCH Major Crime Unit said: “We are continuing to conduct investigations to establish a timeline of events that lead to this unfortunate tragedy. “My sympathies are with the victim’s family and friends during this sad time, and I respectfully request that their privacy be respected. “I would like to request that anyone who has information that they believe is relevant to the investigation notify the investigation team and report it to the police.”

Welwyn Hatfield Chief Inspector Pete Frost said, “I hope the news of this arrest reassures local residents. The murder has obviously raised concerns among people, but I’d like to tell you that we do not feel there is a larger threat to the neighbourhood. “We have high visibility patrols in the area, and if you have any concerns then please do speak to our officers who are there to help.” Information can still be submitted online or by calling 101 and referencing Operation Lignum. Crimestoppers allows you to report crimes anonymously.
