
Man charged with murder after woman’s death in Luton.
Jacob Clark, 25, has been charged with murder and grievous bodily harm after a lady was killed and another was injured in Luton earlier this week.

Emergency services were dispatched to Turners Road North on Monday (20 January) at around 11.30 a.m., when two women were injured in an incident. Dianne Cleary, 46, of Luton, suffered serious injuries and died shortly thereafter. A second woman, in her twenties, was also injured, but her injuries do not appear to be life-threatening. Jacob Clark, 25, of Skelton Close, Luton, was detained on Wednesday (22 January) and charged earlier today (23 January) with murder and section 18 grievous bodily injury. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Luton Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (24 January).
Detective Inspector Adam Bridges, who is conducting the investigation, said: “We can confirm the sad news that Dianne Cleary died as a result of this incident, and we have specially trained officers supporting her loved ones.” Our thoughts are with them. The family has begged the media to respect their privacy during this extremely difficult time. “We are continuing working around the clock on this investigation and urge anyone with information to contact police, citing Operation Wroxham. We understand the impact this has had not only on Dianne’s family and friends, but also on the larger community, and we thank them for their patience and support as we undertake a comprehensive inquiry.”
Dianne has received tributes from friends and family, who describe her as a “amazing mother” and a “loving and loyal” person. A GoFundMe page created in her memory has now garnered over £4,000.
