Man dies at West Lothian industrial estate after horror incident as police launch probe.

A man died in a horrific incident at an industrial unit in West Lothian.
Emergency services rushed to the Pollock (Scotrans) site on Blackburn Road in Bathgate after the alarm went off around 10.10 a.m. on Tuesday. Mercy crews were dispatched after reports of a man being injured at the industrial site.
Officers have confirmed that a 59-year-old man was tragically killed at the scene. We previously reported that footage from the scene showed police, fire crews, and an air ambulance present.
Officers say their investigation is ongoing, and the Health and Safety Executive has been notified. On March 4, 2025, Police Scotland received a report of a man being injured at an industrial premises on Blackburn Road in Bathgate.
“Emergency services responded, but the 59-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigations are ongoing, and the Health and Safety Executive has been notified.”
According to the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service, four engines responded to the scene and left shortly after 11 a.m. Meanwhile, a local resident reported hearing sirens and ambulances around 10 a.m. before seeing an air ambulance land in the area.

It’s unclear how the man died at the scene. A spokesperson for Pollock (Scotrans) Ltd told the Record that the incident occurred at the unit but declined to comment further at this time.
