Man in his 80s dies after being hit by car
A man in his 80s has died after he was knocked down by a car.
According to Lancashire Police, the senior died after sustaining severe injuries to his legs and chest in a collision with a Bentley Continental on Station Road in Lytham on Friday morning.
“Despite best efforts of emergency services, we can now confirm that he has tragically passed away following the incident,” the police added.
An inquiry into the incident, which happened at about 07:20 BST, is in its “early stages” and anyone with information or dash cam footage should contact police.
