This Friday’s match between Cardiff City and Sheffield United has the team’s supporters at war with head coach Omer Riza after he referred to them as “clueless.”

The Bluebirds’ head coach has been attacked by the club’s supporters after labeling many of their comments regarding the team’s recent performances as ‘clueless’.

This weekend, Cardiff travels to Sheffield United, where a win would mean Leeds needs four points from their final four games to secure automatic promotion.

If the Blades have been defeated again, a Leeds victory at the Kassam Stadium will leave Daniel Farke’s team needing only one point from their remaining three games.

The Whites will play Oxford United on Good Friday after the final whistle has sounded at Bramall Lane.

Despite losing their past three games, Sheffield United is still the favorite to play Riza’s Bluebirds, who are now experiencing a terrible run of their own.

With only one win from their last eight games and no wins in their last four, Cardiff has fallen into the bottom three.

“I have a family. Even though I am aware of how important the matter is, I can become fixated on it, and occasionally I can disregard and neglect my family.

Before his team’s journey to South Yorkshire, Riza stated, “Then you think that shouldn’t happen and that’s something I need to get better at as a young manager.”

“I am aware of its significance. Going down is a failure on my part. I have expectations, objectives, and ideas about where I want to see this club go.

“I do read comments, I read all the comments from fans and unfortunately a lot of them are clueless,” he stated.

How has Riza’s outburst been received by Cardiff supporters?

In a statement released on Thursday, Cardiff City’s Supporters Trust called the manager’s remarks “disrespectful.”

It said: “Given that everyone must be pulling in the same direction as Cardiff City fights to escape relegation, comments that fans are ignorant are disheartening and rude.

“The manager, or any manager, should anticipate criticism from ardent supporters who are enthusiastic about our club’s future given its vulnerable condition. We’re hoping Omer may reconsider his poor judgment.

Cardiff is just one point away from safety and yet has a chance to influence both ends of the table and the result of this Championship season.

Following their defeat at Oxford earlier this month, Blades manager Chris Wilder called a segment of his own team’s supporters a “disgrace,” demonstrating that everyone is anxious and upset about the situation at hand.
