Marti Cifuentes’ chances of securing QPR reunion at Leicester City for ‘talented’ youngster revealed
With Leicester City now under his belt, Marti Cifuentes’ next challenge will be to assemble his team.
Although Cifuentes has promised a “fearless” style of football, the Foxes manager already has a number of players that fit that description.
Nevertheless, several important players may be leaving Leicester because its owners, King Power, are having financial difficulties.
A reunion with another Queens Park Rangers star is unlikely, but Asmir Begovic is in talks to join the Foxes since West Ham United wants first-choice custodian Mads Hermansen.
Rayan Kolli unlikely to be approached by Leicester
Leicester needed a striker when Jamie Vardy left at the conclusion of the season, and there had been rumours that Rayan Kolli might be a target for the Foxes.
After Kolli scored a brace in a 3-0 victory over Norwich City, Cifuentes called him a “excellent player.”
Cifuentes gave the 20-year-old his senior debut, but according to Graeme Bailey, Chief Football Correspondent for EFL Analysis, a reunion is improbable.
“QPR likes him.” They are giving him a very good grade. It would be quite difficult for Leicester to get him out, in my opinion.
“Obviously, Ilias Chair is being moved centrally by Julien Stephan as well. So, I think there’s a real chance that Kolli gets a run out wide. I think it would be very difficult for Leicester to get him out.”
Marti Cifuentes wants to trim the Leicester squad

Cifuentes told BBC Radio Leicester that he would need to get some of the celebrities who receive high-profile salaries off the books.
He remarked, “We have a big squad.”
We need to cut this down to 32 players. The window for transfers is still open.
“I am certain that I dislike working with large teams. We must reduce what we currently have, but we need enough to rotate.
