Prior to their Super League matchup on Saturday night, Wigan Warriors coach Matt Peet has expressed his admiration for Castleford Tigers manager Danny McGuire.
Wigan and Castleford will meet for the first time in 2025 at the Mend-A-Hose Jungle in the Round 16 match. The Tigers are presently in tenth place in the Super League standings, while the Warriors are in second place.
Additionally, Peet will be facing McGuire for the first time as head coach on Saturday. During his press conference prior to the game, Peet was gushing about his Castleford teammate.
Peet remarked, “I’ve always gotten along well with Danny.” “I think that’s the type of coach he’ll be because I always have a good conversation with him when I see him or talk to him on the phone. He’s a straight shooter, just like he was when he played.
