MCKNIGHT MAXWELL JOINS BRENTFORD B
For Brentford Under-21s, the 20-year-old defender has been a mainstay during preseason and into the 2025–2026 Professional Development League season.
McKnight has emerged as a dependable team member during his trial term by remaining composed and consistent. The young defender previously played for Tottenham Hotspur, starting with their under-12 team and continuing through their under-21 team. He assisted in AFC Wimbledon’s 2-1 preseason loss by putting in a crisp cross that was headed home by Michel Boni.
“We’re incredibly happy to have Maxwell on board,” stated Sam Saunders, head coach of Brentford B. “It was obvious from the first few days we saw him that he could provide genuine talent to the team. “He gives the team competition and is versatile, which will make him an asset to the team. He can play in midfield as well as left and right back. “We’re looking forward to helping him develop throughout the season as we continue to get better and improve as a team.”
