Celtic are nearing a deal to recruit promising Fulham striker Callum Osmand as Brendan Rodgers tries to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new season, Celtsarehere has learnt.
The 19-year-old Welshman has been on the Parkhead scouting team’s radar for almost a year, having caught their attention on various scouting missions. Celtsarehere believes that Osmand had a medical last week, indicating significant movement towards the deal.

Osmand had a successful season with Fulham’s Premier League 2 team last season, scoring 10 goals and assisting four times in 17 games. He also competed in the EFL Trophy, scoring once in three games, including a goal against Shrewsbury.
With his contract at Craven Cottage ready to expire, Celtic would only have to pay a training compensation fee for the striker, making the transfer a low-risk investment in a player with obvious promise. Osmand has previously represented Wales at the youth international level and is now prepared to compete for a berth in Celtic’s senior squad.
According to our sources, Osmand is being lined up as a first-team signing rather than a B-team player. Brendan Rodgers is said to be a big fan of the player’s abilities and believes he can challenge for minutes right away.

His arrival would provide more depth to the attacking line. Adam Idah is Celtic’s only recognised first-team striker. Daizen Maeda was a standout striker at times last season, but the Celtic boss prefers him on the wing. With Osmand’s arrival likely to push him lower down the pecking order, Johnny Kenny may face another loan exit.
Celtic’s recruitment squad has been active early in the window, and Osmand represents a move that aligns with Rodgers’ goal to bring in young talent with opportunity for development. If the transaction is completed, the striker will be eager to make an impact, and it is a clear indication of Celtic’s future plans.
