Sietes takes a throw-in during his only senior appearance at Vicarage Road. A crowd of 5,113 gathered at Vicarage Road to watch the visitors win 2-1 after Marlon King scored his first goal for the Hornets.

The game also marked the first senior appearances at Vicarage Road for three summer signings: Brazilian striker Junior, Australian central defender Adam Griffiths, and a Spanish full-back whose name has almost become synonymous with the club.

The Watford keeper was presented with a commemorative salver. Sietes, real name Jose Manuel Suarez Rivas, had previously played for Valencia and Racing Santander in his native Spain, but he never made it into the Hornets’ first team and was limited to a handful of Reserve appearances during his year at Vicarage Road.
