Middlesbrough ‘likely’ to be priced out of move for Birmingham City target, report suggests.
According to The Northern Echo, Mark Travers, a Birmingham City target, may be too expensive for Middlesbrough to loan out this summer.
According to EFL Analysis, Birmingham City may be interested in signing the custodian during the upcoming transfer window. BCFC have secured promotion from League One to the Championship and are looking for new signings.

Travers, 25, spent the second half of the season on loan at Middlesbrough in the second tier. He joined Boro in the January transfer window and made 17 appearances under Michael Carrick as the club missed out on the play-offs.
The Northern Echo reported that Boro are interested in making Mark Travers’ loan permanent and will monitor his situation throughout the summer. However, Bournemouth’s asking price will most likely be a major sticking point, and Travers is expected to have more lucrative options this summer.
Birmingham City easily won the title and set a new record for points. They were promoted automatically alongside Wrexham and will compete in the play-offs against Stockport County, Charlton Athletic, Wycombe Wanderers, or Leyton Orient.

Birmingham City’s latest on Mark Travers
Travers could potentially improve Birmingham City’s goalkeeping department. If he joined, he’d compete with Ryan Allsop and Bailey Peacock-Farrell for the top spot at BCFC.
The Republic of Ireland international, who has four caps, will return to AFC Bournemouth during pre-season. They now face a major decision about what to do next with him.
They also have the option of allowing some players to leave through the exit door if they wish. The Blues will be looking to carry their promotion momentum into next season.
Travers would give them another option to choose from between the sticks. He is now more experienced, and if he were to leave AFC Bournemouth permanently, he would prefer to go somewhere where he could be guaranteed regular football.
The fact that Middlesbrough may be unable to afford him bodes well for Birmingham City. This could allow them to swoop in.
