Sam Field, a midfielder for Queens Park Rangers, has signed a new deal to extend his tenure with the Championship club.
The 27-year-old has made 179 appearances for Rangers in four and a half years, starting on loan from West Bromwich Albion in February 2021.
While QPR has not specified the length of the new contract, Field told the club’s website that he believes he still has more to give as a senior player.
“I want to step into more of a leadership role, which I think I’m doing, and I’m enjoying that,” he told me.
“I think I’ve progressed a lot – I’ve still got a hell of a lot to work on, I’m not going to deny that, but it excites me what I’ve done, and it excites me what I can hopefully go on to achieve.”
