Millwall have agreed a deal to sign one former Chelsea gem on loan as medical details become clear.
The summer deadline day is underway for Championship clubs, and Millwall are one of a number of teams set to be busy adding to their squad.
Millwall have endured a mixed bag of results so far in the 2025/26 Championship season, having won two and lost two, with Alex Neil’s side yet to be victorious at The Den.
Goalscoring has been a prominent concern for Millwall after failing to score against both Middlesbrough and Wrexham at home, notably handing the Red Dragons their first clean sheet in all competitions this season.
As a result, they have identified one former Chelsea man to bolster Neil’s attacking ranks, with a deal agreed.

As revealed by Anthony Joseph on X, Millwall are ‘closing in’ on signing Wolfsberger AC winger Thierno Ballo.
The forward is set to arrive at The Den for a medical today after Millwall agreed a loan deal, with an option to buy for the 23-year-old.
Ballo boasts plenty of experience, having represented the Austrian national team on one occasion, while also becoming a prominent star in the Austrian Bundesliga.
His tenure at Wolfsberger AC has been highly profitable, bagging 22 goals in 58 games across the 2023/24 and 2024/25 campaigns.
How Thierno Ballo is expected to slot in at Millwall
Thierno Ballo, who may be more commonly known for his time at Chelsea, was coming through as a youngster but struggled to make it at first-team level. Nonetheless, his time away from Stamford Bridge has seen him develop into a brilliant star and he will no doubt become a crucial player for Millwall.
The youngster is expected to play through the middle for Millwall, however he has shown an aptitude to play anywhere across the front line, while also having experience as a central midfielder.
It is likely that Alex Neil will get the most out of the incoming Millwall man through the centre as well, due to him thriving for Wolfsberger AC in this position.
Ballo’s arrival is incredibly exciting for Millwall supporters, who will be keen to see a proven goalscorer arrive at the club amid their recent struggles at home.
