Millwall head of recruitment analytics joins Cambridge United as head of recruitment

Millwall head of recruitment analytics joins Cambridge United as head of recruitment.

Nick Tyler-Hicks, Millwall’s head of recruitment analytics for the past three years, has reunited with former Lions manager Neil Harris at Cambridge United.
Tyler-Hicks is United’s new head of recruitment.
Harris was appointed by Cambridge in mid-February after deciding to leave Millwall at the end of 2024. The Den legend was unable to keep them from dropping out of League One.
Tyler-Hicks spent more than ten years with the Lions, starting as a performance analysis intern and working his way up through the academy to become a first-team recruitment analyst.
He left his position in 2020 to become an analyst at Stoke City, but returned to South London two years later as Millwall’s head of recruitment analytics.
Cambridge United’s director of football, Mark Bonner, stated on the club’s official website, “It’s excellent news that we have Nick joining us to be our first head of recruitment in recent years, as we build a modern department that will use data and analytics to inform our work.” We believe we have made an exciting addition to the club based on his outstanding performance throughout the selection process from a strong applicant pool. Nick will begin developing a club intelligence platform that exists beyond any individual and provides a modern and intellectual means of storing all recruitment data, profiles, records, and reporting.
“We intend to broaden our network and reach, as well as establish a department that will benefit the club in the medium and long term. In the short term, we will all work together to rebuild the squad ahead of the new season.
Tyler-Hicks added: “I am thrilled to be joining Cambridge United as head of recruitment and to continue the excellent work that has been done behind the scenes at the club in recent years.”
“The opportunity to work alongside Neil – who I know well – and Mark, to help develop the data, recruitment and analytics side of the club was of great interest and I look forward to getting to work.”
