More West Brom heroes set to make emotional Hawthorns return for special clash
Later this year, there will be more emotional reunions of former Albion heroes at The Hawthorns.
Both young and old Baggies supporters have their favourites from the past, and for a special event in September, a number of them will gather.
At a ‘Clash of the Legends’ on September 6, a West Brom Home Nations team will play a team from the Rest of the World.
Players are joining together for what will be one of several events to commemorate the club’s 125th anniversary, much like the game that was played for Chris Brunt and James Morrison a few years ago.
Many players will be returning to The Hawthorns for the first time since their playing careers ended, helping to raise money for the Albion Foundation.
Some fresh names have been revealed, in addition to the previously reported Claudio Yacob and Paul Scharner.
Another player returning to The Hawthorns is Youssouf Mulumbu, a promotion-winning player who was instrumental in Albion’s prolonged Premier League tenure.
As a title-winning hero, Robert Koren will play, while other players like Nigel Quashie and Robert Earnshaw have also been called up.
Tickets are currently on sale, and several other players will be revealed soon.
