“To have worked my way up through the entire academy is something that I, my family, and everyone around me are extremely proud of,” the adolescent told City’s stations.
“I’ve got a season ticket here and I’ve been watching every game for years, so to have signed a professional contract, it means that little bit more for me.” Defender Theo Adelusi has been recognised for his impressive progress since joining from Tottenham Hotspur last summer.
He signed till 2028 and made 25 appearances for both the U21 and U18 teams last season. “My first year here has been fantastic; I don’t believe I’ve experienced any downs. “On the pitch, it’s been extremely positive,” the 18-year-old remarked. “I’d love to catch the attention of the first team, especially with a new head coach on board.
That means I have a new opportunity to establish myself and demonstrate my abilities.” Defender Oser Okpiabhele has agreed terms on a deal that will keep him at the club until 2027.
“The new season brings new challenges. “New challenges will arise, but I am confident that I will overcome them, move forward, and learn from them,” he stated. “My goals this season are to push onto the Under-21s, make more appearances throughout the season and see what happens.” Finlay Oligbo, a right back, has signed his first professional contract, committing to a two-year deal.
He has played 24 games for the U18s. “I’m feeling extremely terrific. Signing my first professional contract is a proud time for both my family and myself.
It has been a lot of hard work over the previous few years,” Oligbo added. “I believe I have progressed much since last season. I was a little worried going into the Under-18s. After playing a few games, I built up that confidence and was able to finish strongly.”
