Norwich City warned over Celtic FC transfer pursuit – he’s “not really done enough”
Sky Sports reported this past weekend that the Canaries are monitoring the 23-year-old, as Borja Sainz’s £14.25 million move to FC
Porto was eventually finalised.
A like-for-like replacement will be required to make up for the 18 goals the Spaniard scored last season, as the Norfolk team will be
without a major winger heading into the new campaign. Hyun-jun is reportedly one of the prospects the team is considering.
The South Korea international has featured 47 times in the Scottish Premiership since his move from Gangwon FC in 2023,
contributing six goals and five assists in that time.
Norwich City verdict issued on potential Yang Hyun-jun swoop

to Carrow Road, he would anticipate a second winger joining him.
The two most likely prospects to join the team this summer, according to him, are a Premier League loanee and a more well-known
player, although he is sceptical that a deal would be reached.
“I don’t think he’s done enough to prove that he could be that replacement if he were to replace Sainz,” Downes told Football League World.
Although they haven’t given him much of an opportunity because he hasn’t been with the team for very long, I know that Celtic
supporters aren’t really concerned about him leaving.
“But I’d imagine he wouldn’t be a replacement, he’d be an extra guy.
“And it seems like it’s not on the cards anymore, and the word is we’re looking elsewhere, which is probably a good idea.

“If he’s not quite at that level, then it’s always good to be looking around.
“But, I’d imagine that we will be looking for two more wingers at least, one to replace Sainz and one as a Premier League loan.
“I think that’s the most realistic transfers that we’re going to have.”
Yang Hyun-jun signing wouldn’t be the most inspiring move by Norwich

business, given the fact he’s not really been much of a starter at Celtic.
But if a more well-known player also shows up, he might be a good backup to have in the team.
Even while paying the 23-year-old a permanent fee would be more expensive in the short term, the benefit of signing him over a top
flight loanee is that he would be a player who would not need to be replaced in a year.
Sainz is crucial to the team, so Norwich must make the proper decision in replacing him or it may significantly affect their offensive
threat the following season.
