Nottingham Forest want left-footed winger with more goals than Callum Hudson-Odoi this season

Forest is still in the running for a spot in the Champions League next season, and they have three home games and three away games left to finish before the end of an incredible season.

Nuno Espirito Santo will be eager to make sure it doesn’t end in disappointment. Forest is currently in fifth place in the Premier League.

After two straight losses to Aston Villa and Everton, Forest will want to sign new players in the summer.

Evangelos Marinakis wanted a striker in January, so the Reds will undoubtedly look at new forward players when the transfer window reopens. Forest will play Tottenham away on Monday, and it will be a great opportunity to get back on the winning track.

According to L’Equipe, the Reds are in the mix to try and recruit Moussa when the market reopens, with Monaco also keen to try and get the winger ahead of next season.

The 23-year-old has been a fixture in the Feyenoord lineup this season and the Eredivisie outfit are prepared for enormous interest in his services in the summer.

It is now believed that other teams are more advanced in the competition to sign Moussa, and that interest in Forest is merely exploratory.

The 24-year-old Moussa checks many boxes regarding what the Reds have attempted to start doing in previous windows;

he is young, would have a point to prove in a top European division, and more importantly, from a Forest perspective, he has experience playing in European competitions.

Moussa is a left-footed winger, which makes him ideal from a Forest perspective. All of the current wingers are predominantly right-footed, and that is obviously something that needs to be addressed.

Anis Hadj Moussa stats 2024/25 Total
Appearances 38
Goals 9
Assists 3

Before joining the Dutch team this season, Moussa played for Vitesse, Olympic Charleroi, and Lens. Feyenoord signed Moussa from Belgian team Patro Eisden, but it feels like the three-time Algerian isn’t exactly at the top of the list at the City Ground right now.

Forest will undoubtedly look for a left-sided forward option.
