Mika, and don’t drop in. Adam, you’re going to get hammered the moment you enter.
As his squad plays Northampton Town in a preseason friendly, Alex Neil is constantly giving directions and making
observations from his technical area.
“The ball cannot drop in there (short); it must go to the last line (Mihailo Ivanovic).”
That comes after Macaulay Langstaff, who had dropped deep, is beaten in the air by goalie George Evans’ attempt to
pick him out.
In the first half of the 3-0 win against Kevin Nolan’s side, Adam Mayor and Sheldon Kendall were on the left, on the
side of the pitch where Millwall’s dugout was. The youngsters were receiving most of the instructions.
