PADDY LANE SIGNS THREE-YEAR DEAL WITH READING FC.

Reading Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Paddy Lane, who will join the Royals on a three-year contract.

The 23-year-old winger brings valuable experience to the Select Car Leasing Stadium, having appeared in 24 Championship games last season. Lane brings quality, versatility, and attacking flair to Noel Hunt’s squad ahead of the 2025/26 season.

Lane, a Northern Ireland international, began his professional career with Fleetwood Town, quickly establishing himself as one of League One’s top young players before making his senior international debut in 2022.

He most recently played in the second tier for Portsmouth, where he was a regular member of the attacking unit last season.

Head Coach Noel Hunt stated, “Paddy is an exciting addition for us.” He has a lot of energy, can outplay men, and isn’t afraid to take chances in the final third. Playing regularly in the Championship at his age speaks volumes, and we believe there is more to come.
