Notts County head coach Martin Paterson has said he needs to “change the culture” of the club following their disappointing start to the League Two season.
The Magpies fell 2-1 at home to Salford City on Saturday, leaving them with only one point from their first two games.
The 38-year-old took over the club in June, succeeding Stuart Maynard, who was fired following the play-off semi-final defeat to AFC Wimbledon.
“I think I have to be very careful with my words – the first half was so far away from our identity, it was untrue,” Paterson told BBC Radio Nottingham following the defeat.
“I have to change the culture and the mentality and how we take them on.”
