Paul Pogba to Norwich City?

Paul Pogba to Norwich City!

The Premier League winner warns that the former Manchester United player may have to “drop down” a level following his drug punishment, and he is encouraged to think about making a surprise Championship transfer.

Premier League winner Chris Sutton has advised former Manchester United star Paul Pogba to think about making a surprise move to Championship team Norwich.

In October, Pogba’s four-year penalty was lowered to 18 months after he tested positive for the hormone dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA), which raises testosterone levels.

His suspension from the game was greatly reduced when the Court of Arbitration for Sport decided that the prohibited substance had been accidentally consumed.

Pogba hasn’t played in a professional game since September 2023, when a lengthy absence was brought on by a positive test he took while playing for Juventus.

The 32-year-old midfielder has missed almost two complete football seasons, which has naturally had an impact on his physical state and market value.

But even though he hasn’t signed a contract with a new team, the World Cup winner now seems driven and ready to return to the pitch.

Chris Sutton, a former Premier League striker who is now a pundit, has made an unexpected suggestion in the midst of conjecture regarding Pogba’s potential future destination: a move to Norwich City in the Championship.

In an interview with BestBettingSites.co.uk, he was open about the midfielder’s choices, saying: “I’d love to see Paul Pogba at Norwich City.”

Is his career coming to an end? If he came to Norwich, he would be a little fish in a vast pond.

“I must admit that he had a doping problem in the previous seasons, didn’t he? He may have missed a lot of football lately, and at his age, I believe it’s quite hard to return and reach the heights he previously accomplished after being gone for so long.”

“I think he may think he can still play at the highest level, even though he’s such a talented player,” he continued.

I believe it would be quite challenging for him to return after all this time. In order to continue playing at a good level for Norwich City at Carrow Road, he will simply need to step down a bit.

Pogba is still a free agent and is awaiting the ideal chance to play football again.

Clubs throughout Europe and beyond will undoubtedly consider if the risk of signing him is worth the possible gain as the summer transfer window draws near.

One thing is certain: Pogba is not yet prepared to end his career, regardless of whether he heeds Sutton’s advise.
