Pep Guardiola sees ‘incredible’ star pick up fresh injury ahead of Nottingham Forest vs Man City
Man City is currently preparing for their FA Cup semi-final battle with Nottingham Forest this coming Saturday.
Football’s oldest competition is the final domestic championship Manchester might win this season, and Pep
Guardiola’s club is coming off a poor 2024–2025 campaign in fine shape.
With the help of Matheus Nunes, Man City defeated Aston Villa 2-1 last time out, extending their winning streak to
seven games. Their most recent loss came at the hands of Nottingham Forest at the beginning of March.
Guardiola has some bad news in the form of an injury, but confidence will be strong going into this weekend’s match
against Forest at Wembley.

Oscar Bobb suffers fresh injury setback
Oscar Bobb has missed most of the 2024–2025 season due to a fractured leg he sustained back in August.
The 21-year-old, who returned to action for Man City in March, has only played 106 minutes this season,
making it an extremely challenging campaign.
His most recent physical problem, which is not considered significant, is the result of his prolonged
absence from action, according to Norway’s national team manager Ståle Solbakken.
Regarding Bobb’s fitness, Solbakken informed NRK, “He has sustained another minor injury.” “It’s not a
serious injury, but I’m not sure about the time perspective.”
Guardiola will be eager to get a player who he previously called a “incredible threat” to ManCity.com fully
recovered before the FIFA Club World Cup starts in June, so this is good news for him.
Latest on Man City’s current injuries
None of Man City’s players are anticipated to return for the FA Cup semi-final due to a number of injury
concerns before their matchup with Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Erling Haaland is approaching full fitness but is not quite ready, and Ederson will be out for a few more
weeks.
Player | Injury | Potential return date |
Rodri | Knee Injury | 25 May 2025 |
Erling Haaland | Ankle/Foot Injury | 10 May 2025 |
Nathan Ake | Ankle/Foot Injury | 25 May 2025 |
John Stones | Thigh Injury | 3 May 2025 |
Ederson | Groin/Hip/Pelvic Injury | 2 May 2025 |
Rodri is still a major absentee for Man City, and Nathan Ake and John Stones, the defensive duo,
continue to accompany him on the sidelines.
Since injuries have been a major factor in Man City’s issues this season, Bobb is the most recent addition
to this list.
