Peterborough United must avoid Kwame Poku, Ricky-Jade Jones repeat as QPR & Charlton Athletic eye swoop

Although they will have to deal with the loss of some of its key players, Peterborough United will be aiming for a much better League One campaign next season.

The previous ten years have seen Peterborough consistently compete at the top of League One, but last season was a difficult one for them as they barely avoided relegation, however they did at least keep the EFL Trophy to give their fans some respite.

Posh has added two young, talented wingers, Declan Frith and Kyrell Lisbie, as part of their summer rebuild, but they have lost three of their best players: Ricky-Jade Jones, Kwame Poku, and Hector Kyprianou, who left at the end of their contracts after the club was unable to come to an agreement on new terms.

As FLW exclusively revealed earlier this week, Queens Park Rangers and Charlton Athletic are considering a move for forward Malik Mothersille. Peterborough manager Darren Ferguson will be hoping that there aren’t any more high-profile departures this summer, but he may be disappointed.
