Gabriel Gudmundsson might be Leeds United’s next signing. The West Yorkshire club’s transfer market is open as they prepare for their Premier League return.
Leeds hope to provide Daniel Farke with a squad fit to fight in England’s top level, with numerous acquisitions already announced at Elland Road.
Jaka Bijol, Sebastian Bornauw, and Lukas Nmecha have already signed with the Championship champions, with more anticipated to follow. Lille may have just given Gudmundsson the go-ahead to be next.
Gudmundsson arrived in England

Leeds are looking for a left-back following the departure of Junior Firpo.
The Spaniard left the club after his contract expired, capping a four-year stint with the Whites after joining from Barcelona in 2021.
Leeds attempted to keep the full-back, but Firpo is believed to be keen on returning to his former club Real Betis.
Daniel Farke has players that can play on the left side of defence, but the German is looking for a new first choice.
| Gabriel Gudmundsson | Ligue 1 (2024/25) |
| Appearances | 30 |
| Progressive carries (per 90) | 3.45 |
| Tackles (per 90) | 1.70 |
Gudmundsson was a reliable option for Lille last season
Leeds are making good signings. Leeds’ signings thus far will not have gotten many fans to leave their seats.
All three players, as well as Gudmundsson if he completes his move, are smart and efficient choices for Farke’s side.

The severity of the Premier League will require Leeds to have a wide variety of choices in their squad next season, with injuries and form slumps almost a given.
There will be time for more eye-catching signings at Elland Road in the coming weeks, but for now, Leeds are preparing their team to face the formidable task of England’s top flight.
