Plymouth Argyle and Leyton Orient snubbed as SPL outfit present ‘best option’ for Jamaican star.

Despite attention from Plymouth Argyle and Leyton Orient, we can exclusively reveal that a top Jamaican prospect has decided to relocate to Scotland.

The summer transfer window closes (briefly) tomorrow before returning on June 16th till September, and teams have already done a good amount of business. Plymouth Argyle, for example, is recuperating following relegation from the Championship, but Leyton Orient is still suffering from last month’s League One play-off final loss. Now, EFL Analysis can exclusively reveal that Jamaican star Richard King has rejected both teams, as well as several others in the Football League.

Richard King chooses St. Mirren over EFL clubs

According to our Chief Football Correspondent Graeme Bailey, St. Mirren outbid many other clubs for King’s services. The 23-year-old Jamaican international will now travel to Scotland after St. Mirren reached an agreement with his club Cavalier for a minimal price. In terms of clubs left unhappy by King’s decision, we can confirm that Plymouth, Peterborough, Leyton Orient, Bristol Rovers, and Barnet have all expressed interest in signing the highly-rated central defender. We understand that Tony Finnigan of Players’ Lounge, a highly regarded talent scout and agency, brought the player to the UK after noticing him in Jamaica.

Finnigan, who discovered the likes of Yannick Bolasie and Albert Adomah, has overseen his move to Scotland. It is said all parties believe a move to Scotland is currently King’s “best option.”

King is now trying to solidify his position in Steve McClaren’s Jamaica squad for the World Cup next year.
