Plymouth makes official plans in case Leeds United win the Championship.

After securing promotion, Saturday will decide whether Leeds United wins the Championship or must fall to second place behind Burn

Leeds is still vying for the Championship trophy when Daniel Farke leads his team to Plymouth Argyle in the season’s last match. All they need to do is match Burnley’s performance when they play Millwall at home.

With both sides on 97 points but Leeds’ goal difference far superior, a win will get the job done whatever Burnley do against Alex Neil’s men. But even if Leeds fail to win, or even lose, they could still win the title.

Obviously, Leeds will want to go out with a bang and reach 100 points for the first time in the history of the club. Plymouth meanwhile, are pretty-much relegated even if they are only three points from safety.

In the event that Leeds wins the title, Plymouth confirms their plans.

Leeds’ away games make it difficult for the Whites to throw a lavish celebration on the field with the Championship trophy, as they did at Elland Road after their thrilling victory against Bristol City on Monday night.

Argyle was demoted because they would need to score 14 goals, and all other teams would have to lose. As a result, Plymouth has informed supporters on their website of their intentions in the event that Leeds is promoted.

“With a lot riding on the game for our visitors, we anticipate a large number of Leeds United fans to travel to the South West, and the surrounding areas to be extremely busy in the lead-up to the match,” they stated.

In accordance with league customs, a small stage will be set up in front of the away end so that Leeds players can celebrate with their traveling supporters if they win the championship. After the Argyle players have left the field of play, something will happen.
