Several cars were stopped during the afternoon, and penalty notices were given for a variety of violations. Officers at the scene were glad to find that the majority of drivers followed the law.

PS Jones, SNT lead for Edgware, Centenary, and Kenton East ward, stated: “Today’s operation was just a small example of the range of tactics the police will use against those who do not obey the law in our wards.”

In response to local concerns, police may conduct more comparable operations throughout the area, with the goal of discouraging reckless driving and improving road safety.
