We are happy to announce that Kyle John, our current Young Player of the Season, has agreed to a new deal.
The defender has now signed a new two-year contract that will keep him at Vale Park until at least the end of the 2026–2027 season after the club decided to extend his contract at the conclusion of our promotion-winning 2024–2025 campaign.

A third-year option is also included in the contract, which the club may exercise when the current one expires.
The 24-year-old played a significant role in the Valiants’ second-place finish in Sky Bet League Two last season, making 31 appearances in all competitions.
Darren Moore, the first-team manager, discussed the agreement: “We’re thrilled that Kyle signed a new deal here at Vale Park since he fully took advantage of his opportunity last season.
He is a dynamic player with boundless energy and a tonne of potential, so I have no doubt that our followers will welcome this good news. Kyle’s return during preseason is something that the coaching staff and I am eagerly anticipating.
The club is excited to welcome Kyle back to Vale Park for the 2025–2026 season and would like to congratulate him on his new contract.
