With assistance from Dunstable Town Council, Central Bedfordshire College, a member of The Bedford College

Group, is pleased to announce the inaugural “Pride in Dunstable” event in the town.

This historic event, which will take place at Dunstable’s Grove Park on Saturday, June 7 from 1 to 5 p.m., aims to

promote individuality and unite the local community for an afternoon of inclusivity, entertainment, and family fun.

Pride in Dunstable will honour the thriving LGBTQ+ groups and the town’s distinctive diversity. The event, which is

being organised by Central Bedfordshire College, is expected to provide an enjoyable and significant day for all

attendees. In order to promote harmony and honour Dunstable’s varied population, a wide range of events and

performances will be held.

The event will feature:

A Pride Procession through the heart of Dunstable.

performances by students from Central Bedfordshire College that highlight regional talent.

An incredible drag show with amazing performers.

The greatest Pride celebration hits are spun by DJ sets and dancers.

The inspirational words of support and unity were conveyed by the guest speakers.

a variety of food and beverage vendors with a wide assortment of delectable selections.

Inflatables for kids and families, face painting, and miniature fairground attractions.

“As a college, we sit at the heart of the community in Dunstable, and I am really excited that we are organising this

event with help from Dunstable Town Council,” stated Susan Hadfield, principal of Central Bedford College. Our kids

are eager to participate in the Pride march and are hard at work organising and getting ready for the occasion. We

hope that this will be the town’s first of many Pride events.

Pride in Dunstable is a community-wide celebration that embraces everyone and fosters harmony, acceptance, and

joy. The celebration will offer an opportunity to consider Pride’s past, recognise its achievements, and anticipate a

more inclusive and empowered future. This is an opportunity to celebrate equality, love, and the happiness that

comes from being authentic in a safe setting.

Everyone is cordially invited by Central Bedfordshire College to participate and help create history in Dunstable.
