Rangers drop transfer interest in PSG talent Oumar Camara

Rangers have dropped their interest in signing Oumar Camara from Paris Saint-Germain.

The Ibrox club is stepping up its recruitment drive following the appointment of Russell Martin as the club’s new head coach last week. Rangers have already been linked to a move for seasoned Premier League defender Conor Coady and Maccabi Tel Aviv forward Dor Turgeman.

Camara is one player that will not be joining the team. Rangers reportedly kept an eye on the 18-year-old in anticipation of making a bid this summer. At the end of this month, his contract with PSG ends.

Rangers have decided to put the winger out of their sights, according to L’Equipe.

The French teenager has made an impression across all age groups in PSG’s academy and can play on either flank.

However, it is thought that the winger is no longer a target for recruitment due to Rangers’ recent ownership shift, which saw Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises take charge.
