Rangers favourite surely going nowhere after news regarding team-mate

As the high-profile Ibrox departure draws closer, Rangers have “given Nico Raskin an answer.”

Since the conclusion of the Scottish Premiership season, Nico Raskin’s future at Rangers has been in doubt.

Despite having a bad season overall, the Belgian international was undoubtedly one of the Gers’ top performers last year.

Raskin has thus been connected to teams other than Rangers, with Wolves being the most recent to express interest in the midfield player.

The 24-year-old might yet stay at Ibrox, though, as Russell Martin assembles his team for the forthcoming season.

As Igamane’s departure draws nearer, Rangers will undoubtedly hold onto Raskin.

On Thursday, June 26, it was reported that Hamza Igamane was close to departing Rangers.

The 22-year-old scored 16 goals across all competitions at Ibrox last season, where he also made an impression.

As a result, there has been a lot of interest in the future as rumors about his future increased.

According to recent reports, Lille and Igamane have reached an agreement in anticipation of a possible transfer.

The trade is probably going to happen even though the former French champions and Rangers still need to agree on a price.

One benefit of the trade, though, might be that Raskin could now remain with the Gers after Igamane left.

Additionally, it was expected that either Igamane or Raskin would sell this summer; however, it now seems to be the latter.

As they get ready for the next campaign, hopefully the sale will finally put a stop to the rumors about Raskin.

Raskin must sign a new contract with Martin.

Raskin rumors may be put to rest by Igamane’s sale, but it won’t really stop until a new contract is agreed to.

In recent weeks, there have been more rumors that Raskin may sign a new contract with Rangers. But as of yet, nothing is official.

The Glasgow club’s confidence will soar ahead of the forthcoming Champions League qualifiers if Martin can close this deal.

Before a team tries to turn Raskin’s head, perhaps Rangers will complete this agreement as quickly as possible.
