Rangers-linked Danny Rohl drops hint over next job.
Danny Rohl has responded to new speculation about his future with Rangers.
The German is set to leave Sheffield Wednesday, despite having a contract until 2027.
This has fuelled speculation that he could be considered for Rangers’ vacant manager’s position, currently held by interim boss Barry Ferguson.
As the US consortium prepares to take over the Ibrox club, they are expected to prioritise hiring a new permanent manager.
Rohl has now spoken to Kicker in his home country, outlining his future plans, with Premier League, Bundesliga, and Saudi clubs all expressing an interest.
“Personally, I had a fantastic time at Sheffield Wednesday,” said the player. “I have made no secret of my desire to work at the highest level with the best players in the near future.
“The Bundesliga is, of course, an option. However, I understand that getting the final nod requires good work, the right people who believe in you, and timing.
“And if all of this comes together, I may be able to return to the Bundesliga in the summer, or even right away.
“However, it could take a completely different path. My situation in Sheffield is unofficially fairly clear.
“I have a clear agreement with the owner about how I see my future. Unfortunately, I can’t go into detail about it right now.”
