Rangers ‘seal huge Steven Gerrard appointment’ as cancellation emerges

Steven Gerrard has been heavily linked with a return to Rangers.

In his first managerial position, the 44-year-old led the Gers to the Scottish Premiership championship during an undefeated 2020–21 campaign.

With periods at Aston Villa and Al-Ettifaq, he has found it difficult to duplicate that success, but as news of a cancellation surfaced, a return to Ibrox may be closer than ever.

For a number of months, Gerrard has been hailed as a replacement for former interim Barry Ferguson. However, since he canceled an appearance at a forthcoming event, it would now be possible for him to return to Govan.
