Rangers takeover benefits everyone as legacy name claims a bit of Scottish football ‘died’ after collapse

Paul Dalglish believes that the American takeover at Rangers will be advantageous for all of Scottish football.
The former forward for the Houston Dynamo managed and coached in the United States for 12 years.
Due to the financial crisis at the time, Rangers were relegated to the lowest division. Dalglish believes it caused the Scottish game to regress by many years.
He does, however, hope that the consortium pursuing an Ibrox power grab will revitalize the SPFL.
“Yes,” he answered, “Scottish football died a little bit during Rangers’ hardships. In my view. It was no longer relevant.
The majority of people outside of Scotland watch Scottish football because of the Old Firm game, and when there was no Old Firm game, the amount of money invested in Scottish football as well as TV revenue all decreased.
You want Celtic and Rangers to be as powerful as they can be. It benefits all of Scottish football, not just Celtic and Rangers.
Therefore, Celtic must strengthen if Rangers do in order to maintain their lead.
Everyone will benefit from it, and the benefits will spread.
“Everyone else tries to keep up with Celtic and Rangers by grabbing their coattails.” Therefore, it benefits all parties involved in Scottish football when Celtic and Rangers play at their best.
