With the playoffs scheduled to start on May 29, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2025 has reached its last leg. With a decisive victory over the Mumbai Indians (MI), Punjab Kings (PBKS) have swept into the top two and qualified for Qualifier 1. Following the last league game between the Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) and the Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), their opponents in the first qualifier will be determined. If RCB prevails, they will play PBKS in a crucial match. If they lose, though, Punjab will be challenged by the Gujarat Titans (GT).
Robin Uthappa predicts who will play the final of IPL 2025
Robin Uthappa, a former cricket player from India, has predicted the IPL 2025 final. Speaking on JioHotstar, Uthappa said he was certain that RCB and PBKS could make it to the summit match. He underlined how crucial timing is in a tournament, especially when it comes to building up steam and motivation just before the playoffs. According to Uthappa, Punjab had a great start to the season, struggled in the middle and end of the league stage, but eventually mounted a tremendous comeback to earn a spot in the playoffs. In spite of their campaign’s setbacks, he commended Punjab’s batting lineup, saying it has remained a vital asset that might support them in the pivotal knockout stages.
“You want the proper kind of motivation before entering the playoffs and momentum at the correct period in the tournament. Punjab got off to a great start in the tournament, had a rough finish to the league stage, and then put up a strong show to qualify for the playoffs. According to Uthappa, Punjab’s batting has appeared to be quite good.
Arshdeep Singh hasn’t yet reached his best form, which Uthappa pointed out could perhaps be a plus. According to him, Arshdeep is due for a spectacular performance and will be extremely driven to produce when it counts most.
Arshdeep Singh hasn’t done well yet, in my opinion, and that bodes very well for Punjab. It indicates that he will be a standout performer who will be eager to play in crucial games. I have no doubt that RCB and Punjab will face off in the final,” Uthappa continued.

Uthappa went on to discuss why RCB is a serious possibility to make it to the championship game. He emphasized the positive impact Josh Hazlewood’s return to the team has had. The seasoned hitter also discussed the significance of Virat Kohli to RCB’s chase strategy. “RCB will gain a significant edge with Josh Hazlewood’s arrival,” he stated. He bowls good now, and he has speed. As is well known, Virat Kohli must bat for 20 overs in order to fulfill the job of chase master. He puts pressure on the opposition when he does that, particularly in the final overs.
