Reading confirm third permanent arrival of the summer ahead of non-league friendly

Reading Football Club have confirmed the signing of Daniel Kyerewaa ahead of the 2025/26 season.

The 22-year-old midfielder joins the Royals from Preußen Münster, having previously played for Schalke 04 II and Fortuna Düsseldorf in Germany.

Kyerewaa began his senior career with Schalke’s second team in 2020, and he appeared twice in Schalke’s 2. Bundesliga promotion-winning season of 2021/22.

In 2022/23, he scored 11 goals and provided three assists in 32 games before joining 3. Liga club Preußen Münster in May 2023.

Capable of playing anywhere along the forward line, manager Noel Hunt was adamant that wingers and strikers were the most important, believing he needed at least five or six new players for the new season.

Hunt stated, “Daniel is a very exciting addition to our group. He has a powerful engine, is creative, and has competed in a strong development environment in Germany. We believe he has the skills and drive to make a significant impact here.”

He becomes the third permanent signing of the summer, following Paudie O’Connor and Jack Stevens’ departures earlier in the season.
