Reading FC iconic striker returning to town for Q&A

Later this year, the Purple Turtle will host Q&A sessions featuring legendary former Reading FC striker Jamie

Cureton.

Cureton is renowned for having scored the goal that guaranteed Reading automatic promotion in 2002. The club’s

first-ever promotion to the Premier League four years later was made possible by their performance in the second

division.

Over the past few months, the Purple Turtle has hosted a number of well-attended Q&A sessions with celebrities like

Adam Le Fondre, Jem Karacan, Nicky Shorey, Glen Little, and Leroy Lita. The most recent Q&A, which took place on

April 27 with former manager Steve Coppell, was sold out.

The Cureton Q&A’s date should be announced in the coming weeks, according to the event organisers.

Graeme Murty, Simon Church, Alex Pearce, and Nicky Forster are among the other former Reading players who are

being considered for upcoming Q&As.
