Reading FC in advanced talks to sign Nottingham Forest winger Josh Bowler
Josh Bowler, a winger for Nottingham Forest, is being courted by Reading FC.
If the deal goes through, it will be the first time Reading has paid for a player since they acquired Ovie Ejaria from
Liverpool in 2020.
Despite his promising talent, 26-year-old Bowler has been shipped out on multiple loan agreements and has failed to
make an impact in Forest’s first squad since moving there in 2022.
Bowler scored seven goals in 42 games during his breakthrough season for Blackpool in the 2021–2022
Championship, which was enough to get him signed by Forest.
He was promptly loaned to Olympiacos of Greece for the remainder of the 2022–2023 season, however he only
made four appearances before being called up.

He scored five goals in 38 games for Cardiff during yet another loan spell.
After that, he had two different loan stints last season, but he had trouble getting playing time and succeeding.
Before joining Luton Town, who is also in the Championship, he played eight games for Preston North End in the
first half of the 2024–25 season, however he did not score any goals.
