Reading FC open ‘formal consultation’ with stadium specialist

The ‘Mad Stad’, which opened in 1998 and is regarded as one of the top EFL stadiums, has witnessed Premier League action for three years and has largely helped the Royals establish themselves as a reliable second-tier team.
However, the 27-year-old stadium has started to exhibit aging and problems like a subpar public address system and deteriorated facilities as a result of Dai Yongge’s bad financial management.
When he took over three weeks ago, new owner Rob Couhig made sure that supporters understood that one of his top goals was stadium renovations, and as promised, Landways has now started an official process.
“The appointment will put special emphasis on enhancing stadium-wide network connectivity, the public address and music entertainment system, and enhanced security, with other elements derived from an extensive review of the stadium’s digital infrastructure,” the club stated.
“I am thrilled to have Landways on board to help shape how we can make our home the best it possible can be,” said Club Chairman Rob Couhig in reference to the consultation: “One of my top objectives is the experience of our supporters at the stadium on both matchdays and non-matchdays.
“Having worked with Landways in the past, I have seen first hand the expertise and insight they can bring to the table, and I am excited to see what we can do together.”
“We are thrilled to have the chance to collaborate with Rob and his team once more on this new chapter at Reading FC,” said Chris Smedley, Chief Executive, Landways.
Providing excellent technology systems and high-performance infrastructure is just one aspect of the problem; another is establishing dependable, long-term alliances that produce lasting value and unforgettable experiences. This is going to be an interesting adventure since Rob has a clear vision for the club.
