Reading FC transfer target ‘ready to make move’ to keep World Cup dream alive

To preserve their World Cup dream, Reading FC’s transfer target is “ready to make a move.”

According to reports, Ronan Hale, a transfer target for Reading FC, is “ready to make a move” this summer in order to maintain his World Cup goal. Despite Ross County’s relegation from the top level, Hale had a breakthrough season with them in the Scottish Premiership last season.

After agreeing to a three-year contract last summer, the Northern Ireland international scored 18 goals in all competitions during his first season with Ross County. Hale is prepared to move on in order to push his way into Michael O’Neill’s squad for Northern Ireland’s forthcoming World Cup qualifying campaign, according to the Belfast Telegraph. Roy MacGregor, the chairman of Ross County, had said that any team interested in signing Hale would need to spend at least £1 million.

Even if Reading is interested in the striker, Wycombe Wanderers and Luton Town are among the many League One teams that are thinking about putting in a bid. The club will sign at least four more players to bolster the squad, according to CEO Joe Jacobson, while Reading manager Noel Hunt has acknowledged that he is still eager to acquire players before the window closes at the beginning of September.
