Recently-released Middlesbrough defender Jack Hannah has quickly found a ‘new’ club – rejoining Queen of the South on a two-year contract.

The 22-year-old centre-back spent last season on loan at the Scottish League One club. He made 36 appearances and became an important player for Dumfries club as they finished third in the league but missed out on promotion via the play-offs.

But with Hannah a free agent this summer as his Boro contract came to an end, ending a 14-year association with the club for the Stockton-born prospect, he wasted little time in committing to another two seasons with Queen of the South
