Rod Stewart’s special Celtic request at Glastonbury.

Flags are commonplace at Glastonbury, but Rod Stewart has made a special request for those attending the festival this summer.
The 80-year-old musician, who achieved success as a member of Faces before going solo, has been a vocal Celtic supporter for decades, even displaying the club badge on his drums during live performances around the world.
Due to perform the tea-time Legends slot at the UK’s biggest festival later this month, the ‘Maggie May’ singer admitted that he will be looking for his club to be represented by those in attendance at Worthy Farm.
“No, I believe you will see more Celtic shirts than anything else (in the crowd). Stewart expressed his desire for Celtic fans to wear leopard print, similar to what he wore in the 1970s, in an interview with The Sun.
“I’m worried that it’ll all come down in June because we’ve had so much sunshine and no rain. But the show goes on. I’ve done it before; I played at Twickenham Stadium when it rained heavily.
“As long as you go out there and you get wet with the fans, it’s fun, but obviously we want the sun to shine.”
Stewart became a Celtic fan in 1973 after meeting legendary manager Jock Stein and some of the players at the time. He has been a fan of the club for over 50 years and frequently attends matches at Celtic Park with his family.
In 2017, he participated in the Scottish Cup draw after Celtic’s victory over Albion Rovers at Airdrie.
