TIV EXTENDS HIS STAY IN RG2

Reading Football Club is thrilled to announce that Tivonge Rushesha has agreed to a new one-year deal that will keep him with the Royals until the summer of 2026.

Tivonge, also known as ‘Tiv’, will enter his third season in blue and white after signing a contract extension.

He joined Reading from Swansea City in the summer of 2023, appearing 11 times in his first season before making an additional 18 appearances last season. The Zimbabwe international, who can play right defence or centre midfield, was an important element of Noel Hunt’s team in the latter stages of last season, starting six of the final ten games.

Noel Hunt, First squad Manager, commented: “Tiv is a terrific guy; I worked with him at the U21 level, so I knew his character, how hard he works, and how valuable he can be to the squad.

He matured into the team near the end of last season, filling in at right back and midfield, and we are thrilled to have him back for another season.”
