When Scott McKenna makes his Dinamo Zagreb debut, he creates history.

After Las Palmas was relegated from La Liga last season, the Scotland international made an unexpected switch to the Croatian team. And he became the first Scottish player to ever play in Croatian football when he made his debut for the team in a 2-0 victory away to Osijek.
Mario Kovacevic, manager of Dinamo: “I was really happy with the victory and the performances of Scott McKenna and the other new players on the club. “Although it was a challenging encounter to start the season, we deserved the victory and played strong defence when necessary. I was rather happy. The 28-year-old McKenna acknowledged last month that he was honoured to represent Scotland and create history despite receiving a booking during the match.
“I was informed that I would be the first Scot to play in Croatia,” he claimed. I was unaware that I was the first Scottish player in the nation; I had assumed that I was among the first, if not the first, Scots at Dinamo. “I hope I perform well and make Scotland proud.” “A lot of Croatian players have played in Scotland in recent years, but obviously no one before me has gone the other way.”
