According to The Star, Sheffield United coach Jack Lester will be leaving Bramall Lane.
Sheffield United will part ways with the 49-year-old following Chris Wilder’s departure. Ruben Selles, SUFC’s new manager, is bringing in his own backroom personnel.
Lester, from Sheffield, joined the Blades in 2019. He has since worked his way into the first-team setup.
In the most recent update on his status in South Yorkshire, The Star reports that he will be leaving. Alan Knill and Matt Prestridge left with Wilder last week.
After his departure, Wilder issued a statement saying, “It is with great regret that my time at Sheffield United has come to an end. I’d want to thank Stephen Bettis and Prince Abdullah for bringing me back to the club and providing me the opportunity to rebuild the team and propel this fantastic organization forward.
“I’d also like to thank all the staff at the club, everyone behind the scenes that you don’t often see, and, of course, the players who put in a monumental effort last season, it has been a pleasure working with you, your desire and commitment was unquestionable and I have no doubt you will have great success in the future.”
Sheffield United’s latest regarding Jack Lester
Tobias Loveland and James Oliver-Pearce are two valued colleagues for Sheffield United’s head coach, Selles. He previously worked with the SUFC guy at Reading and Hull City.
Therefore, Lester’s services are no longer needed. He will now be accessible, along with Knill and Prestridge, and will most likely await Wilder’s next move.

The Yorkshireman formerly played as a striker for Grimsby Town, Nottingham Forest, and Chesterfield in addition to the Blades. He hung up his boots in 2014.
Lester first entered the coaching ranks at Notts County. He then spent time at previous teams Nottingham Forest and Chesterfield before returning to Sheffield United.
What now for Sheffield United? Selles is leading Sheffield United into a new era. SUFC will hope that the Spaniard can lead them back to the Premier League.
Wilder is a popular figure among the fans, and Selles must hit the ground running quickly. Hull City fired him last month, despite the fact that he kept them up.
The Tigers signed the Valencia-born player in December to replace Tim Walter, and they were at the bottom of the table when he came.
They remained ahead on goal difference on the penultimate day after a 1-1 draw away to Portsmouth, although their form in the previous ten games had been dismal.
